Saraswati Puja has always been the puja of the students. It was missing in Chicago Students' Community until recently when Oakley Boulevard saw the Saraswati Puja for the first time. It took a lot of collective effort to bring about the ceremony. The most brilliant part, as always an inseparable part of student communitites, was that everything was done at a very personal level. Planning, decoration, food preparation, management, service, recording; every role was taken up unprompted by enthusiast people without any formal structure. Kudos to all who made this puja a huge success.

The sincerity and completeness of the Puja in a traditional procedure was an astounding achievement.

Along with the devi puja, the pet pujo was also a marvellous experience. The Bengali delicacy including Khichuri, begun bhaja, alu bhaja, fulkopir tarkari, chatni and rash malai, all homemade by the students, was a rare treat.
